On Friday, March 15, from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (Washington, DC time), CEAC, which is used to begin the visa application process, will be unavailable to both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applicants due to scheduled maintenance. Applicants will not be able to submit forms or pay fees on the CEAC website (https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/) during this time.  While maintenance is expected to be completed by 10 p.m., it may be extended.  Applicants should note that once maintenance has been completed, there may be additional delays due to heavy traffic on CEAC as many applicants attempt to submit their forms and pay their fees online.  We The Department of State encourages applicants to be patient if they experience delays while accessing CEAC, and applicants should not submit multiple forms or payments if experiencing delays.

If you have already completed your DS-160 application form on the CEAC site, this outage will not affect your ability to pay your MRV fee and schedule an interview at the consular section using this website.
