FAQ

Overview

If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa will be returned to you by the RPX courier service. Your documents will be delivered to the address you provided when you registered in the system or when you scheduled your interview appointment.

Changing Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until 11:59pm on the day of your interview appointment.

Passport Tracking Options

For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status. If your passport is ready for pick-up, please bring supporting documents and collect it in a timely manner. If your passport is not collected in a timely manner it will be sent back to the Embassy or Consulate.

Email: Send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.

Online: You can track your passport online here.

Collecting Your Passport/Visa

RPX provides "Hold at Location" facilities where your passport is held for pick-up in case your delivery address is not serviceable by RPX. You will see a list of RPX locations when you schedule your interview appointment and can choose the most convenient location from that list.

Passports will be held by RPX for 15 working days. If you do not collect your passport within that time, your passport will be returned to the Embassy/Consulate General that processed your application.

Effective November 8, 2021, the Pick-up service of your passport/documents will be considered Premium Service and appropriate fees will be charged depending on the pick-up location selected.

Pick-up passport/documents at the RPX Palbatu Jakarta and RPX Surabaya, remains free of charge. Please click on this link to see the cost for pick-up in other RPX branches and home/office delivery in Indonesia.

All fees are to be paid prior to pick-up of your passport/documents. An e-mail notification will be sent to you when your passport is ready to be returned to you then you may proceed to pay the Premium Delivery Service.

Please see below how to proceed with the Premium Delivery Service Payment:

  • Please click on this link to see the cost for pick up and home/office delivery service fee.
  • Once the cost is obtained, you can do the payment via transfer, debit card or cash at RPX counter. The RPX bank account number is CIMB NIAGA KCP METRO PONDOK INDAH A/N PT ANTAREJA PRIMA ANTARAN A/C # 800142229100.
  • Please send the payment transfer proof via email to RPX cashsale_support@rpxholding.com to get the Official Receipt (OR). In the email, please provide information of the applicants full name, contact number, passport number, drop-off location, U.S Embassy location (Jakarta or Surabaya) and the complete delivery address with zipcode that you have choose upon making the interview appointment. You will obtain the Original Receipt (OR) via email within 20 minutes. For bulk payment, you will receive Original Receipt (OR) for each applicants.
  • Please bring bring the Official Receipt (OR) prior to picking-up the passport/documents at the RPX branches.
  • If you pay using debit card or cash at RPX counter, you will received the Official Receipt from RPX staff.

If you have paid the Premium Delivery Service and would like to change the pick up location to RPX Palbatu Jakarta or RPX Surabaya, you may request refund with the following process:

  • Please send the payment transfer proof to the RPX via email cashsale_support@rpxholding.com
  • Please provide the applicant name and passport number.
  • If the remitter name is different with the applicant name, please provide letter of attorney signed by the applicant that confirming to transfer the money to the remitter.

Note: There will be admin fee for the refund process maximum IDR 15,000 and it will be deducted from the premium delivery service fee that you have paid to the RPX.

Supporting Documents

To collect your passport from RPX, you must present your original and photocopy your government-issued photo ID and Original Receipt for Premium Delivery Service that you received from RPX (if any).

If a representative is collecting your passport from RPX on your behalf - even in case of family members - the representative must present:

  • their own original and photocopy government-issued photo ID for identification
  • a photocopy of your government-issued photo ID
  • a letter of authority, signed by you, authorizing your representative to collect your passport. The letter of authority must contain the following information:
    • your representative's full name as shown on their government-issued photo ID
    • your name
    • your fee receipt number (immigrant visa applicants must include their receipt number on the letter)

If the applicant is under the age of 16, the following documents are required:

  • a clear photocopy of the applicant's visa fee payment receipt
  • an original, signed letter of authority from either of the applicant's parents
  • a clear photocopy of the government-issued photo ID belonging to the parent who signed the applicant's letter of authority
  • the representative's original government-issued photo ID
    Please note: In case of a group/family, a single letter of authority with the required information for each of the applicants will be accepted.

RPX will be unable to deliver the passport if any of the above mentioned documents are not available.
